Adventures in Oz
For Ages 7-8
OVERVIEW
Come along with some well-known characters from “The Wizard of Oz” in a brand new story! The end-of-year holidays are drawing closer and this year, the citizens of Oz have to figure out how to celebrate virtually. This original one-act play for young actors is inspired by L. Frank Baum’s “Oz” books.
This 90-minute class provides a more advanced option for our growing young actors. With a final presentation featuring characters from “The Wizard of Oz” and beyond, the young actors will have the opportunity to share their work in a pre-recorded final presentation at the end of the session. The recording will be sent to students and their families after editing.
This class builds on the basics introduced in our Mini Actors’ showcase, concentrating on story-structure, characterization, the creative process, and acting techniques. Our young actors will experience a more realized performance, complete with technical elements.
Registration Deadline: Friday, October 16 at 5 pm
