SUMMARY:Practice Challenge
DESCRIPTION:MCAA is excited to announce the 30-Day Music Practice Challenge! All students currently enrolled in private music lessons at the Academy are invited to participate in this challenge starting on Monday\, February 19. Students have the opportunity to: \n\nBuild healthy and effective practice habits through establishing a consistent practice routine.\nConnect with other students across the Academy community through shared practice goals.\nLearn from our Academy music faculty about different practice techniques and tips for improving your practice habits.\nWin a feature on our Academy Practice Challenge Wall-of-Fame and a small music-themed prize!\n\nParticipating students will practice 30 days in a row and track their practice using the official Challenge Practice Log. The challenge will run Monday\, February 19 through Friday\, May 17. Throughout the challenge\, we will be posting useful practice tips from our Academy music faculty on our social media pages. We encourage you to follow along on our pages and post your own progress in the practice challenge by tagging us.

DESCRIPTION:Mason Community Arts Academy at George Mason University seeks confident\, team-oriented\, and enthusiastic internship candidates for our vibrant 2024 Summer Arts at Mason programs in Fairfax\, Virginia. The Summer Arts at Mason Internship is a paid internship program that is designed to provide college undergraduate\, graduate\, and rising junior/senior high school students with an exciting opportunity to work in the arts and arts education and learn from industry professionals\, while promoting safety and a positive camp culture. \nThere is limited availability for some positions\, so early application is encouraged. All applications must be submitted by Friday\, March 1\, 2024 for full consideration. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and applicants may be contacted throughout the review process. All decisions will be communicated by Friday\, March 22\, 2024 at the latest.

DESCRIPTION:Overview\nViolin Bootcamp is an intensive summer violin camp focused on strengthening a violinist’s technical foundation\, building new musical skills and developing practice strategies and mindsets to find new levels of facility\, ease\, and fluency in their playing. Through group classes focused on fundamentals\, scales and technique\, multiple private lessons through the week\, daily individual practice time\, and workshops on the art of practicing\, violinists will have all the resources they need to hone their craft to the next level\, and will thrive in our supportive community of like-minded students. \nMATERIALS\nAn application and successful video audition are required to participate in this program. \nDEADLINES\nEarly Application: March 15\, 2024\, decisions by March 19 \nRegular Application: May 15\, 2024\, decisions by May 20
