Amanda Goodwin is a violin teacher and performer located in Northern Virginia.
While a graduate student at Southern Illinois University, Ms. Goodwin taught private and group lessons through the University’s Suzuki Program and was trained and registered to teach Suzuki volumes 1-8. Prior to that, she worked for the University of North Carolina School of the Arts’s Artist Corps program, where she taught private and group violin and general music lessons to students from under-resourced communities. As a performer, Ms. Goodwin most enjoys working on and performing solo repertoire and chamber music. She has had the opportunity to attend chamber music festivals such as the Philadelphia International Music Festival, where she was able to work with and learn from members of the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Ms. Goodwin has received a Bachelor of Music in Performance from James Madison University, a Master of Music and Professional Artist Certificate in Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and a Master of Music in Suzuki Pedagogy/Performance from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
