Jr Instructor - Flute
Jeongwon Bae began playing the flute in the seventh grade in the band program of the U.S. Department of Defense Schools in South Korea. She was selected to participate in the Far East Music Festival for Department of Defense students for four years, and KIMEA (Korea International Music Educators Association) National Honor Festival for three years while in high school. She performed as a member of the Seodaemun Youth Orchestra in Seoul, South Korea and also had the opportunity to play alongside the Eighth United States Army Band.
Ms. Bae recently won the Mason Symphony Orchestra’s Annual Concerto Competition. She was a finalist for the Flute Society of Washington’s Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Soloist Competition and also selected to perform in the United States Air Force Band’s Collegiate Symposium, along with a Master Class by George Pope.
Ms. Bae is an undergraduate student at George Mason University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in instrumental music education with a minor in arts management. Ms. Bae is a member of the George Mason University Wind Symphony, Mason Symphony Orchestra, and Mason Flute Choir. She currently studies with Professor Julianna Nickel.
