Jr. Instructor - Percussion
Joe Pazanowski, originally from Ashburn, Virginia, is currently pursuing a B.M. in Music Performance with a concentration in percussion at George Mason University. He currently studies with Professor John Spirtas, but has also studied under Professor John Kilkenny. Performing regularly as a member of the Mason Percussion Group and as principal percussionist for the George Mason University Wind Symphony has allowed him to perform at venues such as the Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as at the Virginia Music Educator’s Association Conference in Hot Springs, Virginia. Joe has participated in various summer festivals such as the Sewanee Summer Music Festival in Sewanee, Tennessee, and the Sandbox Percussion Seminar in New York City. Joe assists in teaching drumline and percussion at Riverside High School in Leesburg, Virginia and has given clinics for both Riverside High School and Belmont Ridge Middle School. He now hopes to expand his teaching endeavors through private teaching and looks forward to sharing his love of music with his future students.
