Lauren Reamy is a soprano, currently residing in the Northern Virginia area. She received her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from George Mason University in Spring 2021.
During her time at Mason, Ms. Reamy performed in three mainstage operas and one production of opera scenes. Her roles have included Seconda sorella cercatrice in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Marchande de plaisirs in Offenbach’s Mesdames de la Halle, and a chorus member/featured soloist in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas.
Ms. Reamy was also the Soprano Section Leader for the University Singers, and performed works such as Carmina Burana, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, and Mozart’s Requiem at venues all over the Washington, DC area, including Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center.
Ms. Reamy has twice earned a rating of Honors at the National Association of Teachers of Singing auditions, in 2018 and 2020. In January 2021, Ms. Reamy participated in Sewanee Music Festival’s Opera Intensive program, where she worked with James Mitchell, Laura Brooks Rice, and Jordan Schreiner, among other highly regarded teachers and performers.
As a teacher, Ms. Reamy loves working with students of all ages. She believes that anyone is capable of singing, and loves working with students to build their technique, while also pursuing their individual musical interests.
