Suzanne (Baucum) Dorman is a classically trained guitar teacher recently relocated to the Northern Virginia area. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Guitar Performance from Belhaven University where she studied with Barry Hause. She has also studied at Peabody Conservatory in the studio of Julian Gray. After beginning guitar lessons at age fourteen, Suzanne gave her debut performance at seventeen. She has performed in venues in several states as well as in Mexico where she taught music in an orphanage for one year. In addition, Suzanne has performed in masterclasses for renowned teachers such as Nicholas Ciraldo, Adam Holzmann, and Christopher Parkening.

Suzanne is passionate about music—as a universal phenomenon that communicates beyond words and connects people—and strives to bring this into her performing and teaching. With nearly ten years of teaching experience in private and group lessons, she enjoys teaching beginner through advanced students from age six and up.
