Cello Beginnings 1
Cello Beginnings is a fun, engaging, and exciting introduction to the cello for young children. This Suzuki-inspired class has parents learn alongside their children, who will cultivate their love of music through singing and musical games in a welcoming group setting. Students will learn the basics of how to hold the cello and the bow and will play pieces that use their new skills at every step of the way. The class will also explore the world of classical cello music through listening activities and storytelling.
NOTE: A parent is required to attend and participate in the class with their child, and to practice daily with them at home. Students are required to rent/purchase their own child-size cello, plus bring a cello chair and rock stop for the first class – See the Academy’s cello rental guidelines!
