Musical Theater Foundation Course

OVERVIEW

This class is designed specifically for boys and girls ages 9 to 12 years old, who are in the transitional (and sometimes awkward) stage of vocal development. Focus will be on proper breathing, vocal control, improved music reading, and singing in parts. Students will also learn about music through song, rhythm, and movement. Performance tips will also be introduced, including presentation, expression, and body composure. The class will culminate with a final performance of songs from Musical Theater repertoire, as well as traditional choral pieces.

 

Time: 5:45–6:30 p.m.
Dates: Tuesdays, February 18–April 28, 2020
Skip Date: April 7
Tuition: $285+$10 Music Fee
