NATIONAL DANCE INSTITUTE: LEVEL I INTENSIVE TRAINING
at MASON
Dance & Physical Education Instructors – join us for an innovative two-week Summer Dance Intensive: National Dance Institute’s Level 1 Intensive Training Program at Mason. Led by Mason School of Dance Professor Christopher d’Amboise, Mason is offering a unique educational opportunity for local dance and physical education teachers to take the National Dance Institute Level 1 Intensive Training program via the Mason Window Wall.
The Mason Window Wall is a one-of-a-kind life-size video conferencing system that will project teaching artists from NDI in New York City onto the walls of the studios in Mason’s School of Dance on the Fairfax, VA campus. As NDI teaching artists work with their program participants in NYC, they will also work synchronously with Mason participants via the Mason Window Wall. The Window Wall allows artists in different locations to interact as if actually in the room together and brings this world renowned NDI program to DMV area dance instructors, physical education instructors, and all teachers who wish to benefit from this acclaimed program!
This popular training course was developed by NDI instructors based on the pedagogical vison of NDI founder Jacques d’Amboise and has been inspiring teachers for over 30 years. The course includes daily teaching opportunities with live music, choreography workshops, stimulating group discussions, and presentations from leaders in dance and education. Along with the synchronous NDI video conferencing portion, Mason participants will also work directly on-site with Mason School of Dance Professor Christopher d’Amboise and other guest artists. Each participant will receive a certificate of completion.
This program could count toward up to 60 hours of instruction applicable for teacher relicensing credits or recertification points (upon approval of participant administrator).
