Biography

Viola Instructor

Anna is a passionate and dedicated music educator and violist who earned her Bachelor of Music degree from George Mason University in 2025. She currently serves as an orchestra director and music teacher for Fairfax County Public Schools. In addition to her work in public education, Anna is a violist with the Loudoun Symphony.

While at George Mason, Anna studied under Professor Nana Vaughn and served as Assistant Principal Violist of the George Mason Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Soo Han. Her performance background includes extensive experience in symphonic, chamber, and small ensemble settings. A graduate of the Visual and Performing Arts Academy at Salem High School, Anna earned an Advanced Studies Diploma with honors and was inducted into the Tri-M Music Honor Society. Anna was also a member and mentor of the Hampton Roads Chamber Players for more than eight years and spent five years performing with the Bay Youth Symphony Orchestra of Virginia, where she had the opportunity to perform alongside members of the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.

Anna is deeply committed to fostering inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments that celebrate the diversity of today’s students. Through teaching, mentorship, and performance, she seeks to inspire young musicians and continually grow as an educator, artist, and collaborator within the music community.
