Summer Program Parking Information
IMPORTANT: If a parent of a summer program participant is doing check-in or check-out, a parking pass is NOT needed, as there are specific staff-guided procedures to follow.
PROGRAMS ON CAMPUS
Parking on the Mason Fairfax Campus requires a parking pass and is not included in the cost of the program. Visitors or students parking on campus must pre-purchase a pass online.
Visitor Parking Rates
$15/day Max. (Weedays)
$8/day Max. (Weekend)
Parents (or any adults) who wish to stay on campus during program hours, or any students who will drive themselves, MUST either park in a deck or pre-purchase a general lot pass for Lot A or Lot K. Passes are purchased directly from George Mason University and should be printed out at home. Click the Purchase button below.
A Daily or Weekly Parking Pass
Note: You do NOT need a pass for Saturday/Sunday parking in the General Lots A or K on the GMU campus.
- Click on the purchase link above and create or login to your account (this is different than your Mason Academy/AFYP account). You will be asked for some vehicle information.
- Select the permit you need to purchase, and carefully select the dates you require. (Please note that you do NOT need a pass for Saturday/Sunday parking in the General Lots) PERMITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
- When you reach the Receipt page, make sure to hit the PRINT PERMIT link just below the permit description.
- Be sure to display your Parking Pass on your vehicle dashboard at all times when you are parking in the General Parking Lots on campus.

PROGRAMS AT THE ACADEMY BUILDING
Parking is FREE for programs held at the Mason Community Arts Academy Building location, but you MUST stop in the Academy office and ask for a free pass to avoid getting ticketed by University police.
Non-Summer Parking Information
CLASSES/ LESSONS AT THE ACADEMY BUILDING
Parking is free for all programs held at the Mason Community Arts Academy building during the school year (Fall & Spring). Just stop in the office and ask for your free pass, which you MUST display to avoid getting ticketed by University police.
CLASSES/ LESSONS ON CAMPUS
Academy students taking a class or music lesson on the Mason Fairfax Campus during the school year do not need a pass to park in the general lots (Lot K or Lot A) on Saturday and Sunday. Parking is free on weekends only in the general lots. To park in one of the parking decks, the rate is $8 flat during the weekend and $3/hour ($15/day max) on weekdays.
