Biography

Clarinet Jr. Instructor

Benjamin Lopez has established himself as a versatile and dynamic musician. Mr. Lopez is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance at George Mason.

Under the mentorship of Dr. Kathy Mulcahy at George Mason University, he has honed his craft through extensive solo, chamber, and orchestral performances. 

Mr. Lopez has served as Assistant and Principal Clarinet with the George Mason University Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, and Opera Orchestra. Throughout his undergraduate career, he has performed at numerous prestigious events and festivals such as the George Mason University Honors Recitals, Sewanee Summer Music Festival, PRISMA Music Festival, and Newfound Chamber Winds. 

Furthermore, Mr. Lopez is currently a recipient of the Monson Scholarship award at George Mason. His repertoire spans classical masterpieces and contemporary works, reflecting his dedication to artistic excellence and musical growth. Mr. Lopez’s performances demonstrate his passion for collaboration and his commitment to enriching the musical landscape.
