Biography

Clarinet & Bass Clarinet Instructor

Brennan McQuillen is a musician and educator in the Northern Virginia area. Brennan is an alumnus of George Mason University, where he received a degree in Music Education. During his time as an undergraduate student at George Mason University, Brennan performed in numerous ensembles on clarinet, and bass clarinet. He was a regular member of the George Mason University Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, Brennan performed in the Green Machine pep band on tenor saxophone. Currently, Brennan has returned to George Mason University to pursue a Masters Degree in Music Education.

For the past two years Brennan has been employed as the music teacher at St. Louis Catholic School in Alexandria, Virginia. He has taught Preschool-8th Grade General Music, the Elementary and Middle School Choirs, and run the school’s Musical Theater program. During the fall semesters, Brennan works as a woodwind instructor with the Oakton High School Marching Cougars.

Brennan can be found playing clarinet and bass clarinet in multiple ensembles through the region including: the George Mason Wind Symphony, the Fairfax Wind Symphony, and the Washington Metropolitan Gamer Symphony Orchestra.
