Biography
Guitar Teaching Artist

Hang Yin is a classical guitarist and educator originally from China. Over the past years, he has performed at major venues, including Spivey Hall at Clayton State University, the Coca-Cola Space Science Center of Columbus State University, and Auburn University. In 2020, he contributed his guitar skills at Rose Hill Church, and upon returning to China in 2021, he successfully held a series of solo travel concerts. In 2022, Mr. Yin successfully performed his first doctoral recital at Goodson Chapel Hall. Since relocating to Virginia, he has remained an active performer, including a notable performance at the Chinese Embassy for the New Year Gala. Recently, Mr. Yin was honored to join the Washington International Young Artists Music Series, showcasing his talent among other distinguished musicians.
As an educator, Mr. Yin taught at Wuhan Optics Valley International Foreign Languages School during his undergraduate studies. Currently, he is deepening his academic and professional pursuits at Shenandoah University, where he has been granted a full scholarship to study for a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance and serves as a Teaching Assistant for classical guitar.
Mr. Yin received his Master of Music degree from the Schwob School of Music at Columbus State University in 2021, following a Bachelor of Music degree from the Wuhan Conservatory of Music in 2018.
Throughout his musical journey, he has had the privilege of studying under esteemed music educators, including Lorenzo Micheli, Pablo Sainz-Villegas, Marco Tamayo, Meng Su, Andrew Zohn, Julian Gray, and Colin Davin.
