Youngbin Ko

Youngbin Ko, a native of South Korea, is currently a student at the Dewberry School of Music at George Mason University. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music, majoring in violin performance with a string pedagogy minor, under the tutelage of Professor June Huang, Director of Strings and Associate Professor. 

Ms. Ko has been awarded multiple scholarships in recognition of her excellence, including the Monson Scholarship and Grace Aitel String Awards. Before pursuing her music degree, she studied early childhood education and gained experience working with young children, which deepened her passion for teaching and nurturing creativity through music. 

She believes that music has the power to heal the heart, inspire dreams, and guide us toward growth. She looks forward to sharing the joy that only music can bring and to growing alongside her students as an evolving musician.

Dedicated to musical growth and expression, Ms. Ko continues to refine her artistry while sharing her love of performance with others. With a background in early childhood education, she brings both musical insight and a thoughtful understanding of how students learn and grow. She hopes to teach and perform throughout the DMV area, helping students discover their own voices and experience the joy and inspiration that music can bring to everyday life.
