Biography

Zoey Lamb is an active teacher. In addition to her role at the Academy, she also teaches flute privately at the Catoctin School of Music in Leesburg, Virginia, and serves as woodwind sectional coach for Robinson Secondary’s marching and concert bands. 

As a performer, Ms. Lamb has performed with the American Festival Pops Orchestra, Mason Symphonic Band, Mason Wind Symphony, Mason Orchestra, and Mason Theater and Opera productions on various instruments. Additionally, Zoey has performed in flute masterclasses with Leah Arsenault Barrick, Marianne Gedigian, Christopher Chaffee and Nancy Stagnitta. 

Ms. Lamb has earned two bachelor’s degrees from George Mason University in both Flute Performance and Music Education, along with a master’s degree in Woodwind doubling, where she studied flute, piccolo, bassoon, clarinet, and saxophone. 

Ms. Lamb is a passionate teacher and performer who strives to help her students find excellence, joy, and growth through music.
