Summer Training Programs and Workshops

In conjunction with George Mason University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts, Mason Community Arts Academy offers a variety of teacher training programs for arts educators during the summer. Many offer college credit and certification options, and most can be used for re-certification points (please check with your local school district to be sure).

Due to high demand and waitlists, our Summer programs require full commitment to the scheduled dates and times.

Music

Music Teacher Training in Orff-Schulwerk and Kodály is available in July. Teachers can become certified in either of these methods by completing the Level I–III courses offered each summer. One week of Supplemental courses is also offered.
