Free Piano and Organ Available to Good Home

Two generous community members from the Fairfax County area recently called the Academy about donating an acoustic upright piano and an electric organ to a good home. If anyone is interested in accepting either of these donations, please contact us asap.

Piano
The piano (pictured above) is a Yamaha acoustic upright. The piano itself would be free of charge (to a good home); however, the recipient is required to pay for the moving expense using a professional piano moving company, which averages $300-$500 depending on the distance traveled, number of stairs involved, etc. Please note: the owner lives in Falls Church.

Donated organ

Organ
The electric organ (pictured above) is a barely-used Kimball brand organ. The organ itself would be free of charge (to a good home); however, the recipient is required to arrange for pick-up/ transfer, which would only cost money if you need to rent a moving truck and/or hire helpers (it does not require professional movers). There are no stairs involved. Please note: the owner lives in Fairfax Station.

If you think you have a need (and a space) for this piano or organ, it’s a great opportunity to look into. Please EMAIL us at potomac@gmu.edu and indicate whether you are interested in the piano or the organ . We will handle these on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Academy will be closed for Spring Break beginning Monday, March 25 and will re-open on Monday, April 1. We will be operating with limited hours. For any urgent requests, please call 703-993-9889.
