UPDATE 10/28/16: The October 10th (Columbus Day) Acting Day Camp was a big hit. We have two more day camps (9am-3pm) coming up on Monday, November 7th and Tuesday, November 8th (FCPS Student Holidays), and space is still available for ages 5-18. Sign up now!

School systems’ “student holidays” are great for kids, but can be a scheduling/ logistics challenge for parents. For the three FCPS “teacher workdays” this Fall, October 10th and November 7th & 8th, we have the perfect solution – a fun Acting day camp (9am-3pm)!

We are happy to announce Student Holiday Workshops presented by Acting For Young People (AFYP)! Students can join our AFYP teaching artists to spend the day in the focused study of a special acting topic: Musical Theater, Improvisation, Acting Shakespeare, or Playwriting! Our Exploration Days are for ages 5-11 and our Intensive Days are for ages 12-18. Workshops are tailored to our enrolled students, with exercises, games, and activities at their appropriate learning level. These workshops take place at the Potomac Arts Academy building at 4260 Chain Bridge Road and will run from 9:00am-3:00pm.

The cost is only $45 per workshop day! For more information (including Spring 2017 workshops) and to register, visit AFYP’s website:
