CFA Announces Family Series for 2019-20 Season

George Mason University’s Center for the Arts announces its 2019-20 Family Series performances. The new series features four delightful performances presented by leading national touring companies and talented artists.

Designed for young audiences, the Family Series introduces children to the arts through engaging live performances in music, dance, and storytelling. “Peter Rabbit Tales” kicks off the series on Sunday, October 6, at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Produced by Enchantment Theatre Company, the production brings the classic story “The Tale of Peter Rabbit,” written by Beatrix Potter, alive on stage, telling a set of adventures of a mischievous little rabbit in Mr. McGregor’s garden through captivating storylines, playful characters, and enchanting music.

Three equally exciting family production will take place this winter and next year:

  • “The Very Hungry Caterpillar Christmas”—Sunday, December 1, at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
  • “Hot Peas ‘n Butter”—Sunday, March 1, 2020, at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
  • “The Magic of Bill Blagg Live!”—Sunday, May 3, 2020, at 2 p.m.

The cost for each show is $15 for general admission or $10 for children in grades 12 and under, accompanied by an adult. A series package is also available for purchase at the rate of $48 for general admission and $32 for children.
