Piano Looking for a Good Home

Posted on July 20, 2020 by Zi Wang

The Academy received a generous donation from a community member of Fairfax, VA. The piano is free, but the recipient is required to pay for the moving expense.

The piano is a 35-year-old Conover Cabinet upright grand piano made by Cable Piano Company in Chicago, and the bench is not included. The owner had maintained and tuned it occasionally, and the last tuning was about four years ago. Moving expenses are estimated $500-$2000 when using a professional keyboard instrument moving company and depend on the moving distance and home type.

The owner is looking for a potential recipient by August 10, 2020. The offer is on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are interested in accepting the piano, please email us at academy@gmu.edu.
