Thespians Thrive in the Adult Acting Class

AFYP’s Adult Acting Workshop returns this Spring! This workshop has helped students work towards a wide range of goals, from increasing confidence during work presentations to auditioning and being cast in community theater productions.

“Through individual and scene work, students learn to express themselves and a character in focused, objective-based acting technique,” said past instructor Rebecca Wahls.

Students will build and apply skills to monologues, scenes, and ensemble exercises, culminating in a sharing of work at the final class meeting.

Published playwright and theater director Lisa Nanni-Messegee joins GMU Theater Education Graduate student Ashley Promisel to teach the Spring session, which starts Tuesday, February 13th (7-9pm) and runs for 8 weeks.

“I am so proud of each and every one of us – we have come a long way together from our disparate backgrounds, and we have meshed together as a group,” said one of the Fall 2017 participants. “I am honored to have met each one of you and this experience I will cherish fondly always.”

Sharpen your acting/ audition skills, get practice acting with and performing in front of others, and enjoy the camaraderie that only theater can bring. Join our Adult Acting Workshop today!
